I did some my research into screen resolutions as when making my website i want it to fit with most screens it is seen on. Doing this i hope to make my website fit the most commonly used resolution of screen.
In this table you can see that in 2010 most people have screen resolutions 1024x768 or higher. For my site i am going to aim for 1024x768 as it will be better for higher and lower resolutions with out distorting the overall design to much.
I have also done some research into the most commonly used browser to find out which browser to focus my site on.
This shows that Internet Explorer is the most popular and Firefox is a close second. However there are more types of Internet Explorer then there are firefox so i did further research into the popularity of IE to Firefox.
Here you can see that Firefox is the most commonly used and the different versions of IE are next. For my site i will aim to include, Firefox, Safari and IE versions 6-8.
