Here are a few example of short cutting and good use of sound.
Firstly a music track of sorts, Pogo creates short music films usual made from clips of films, his latest one though is made from sounds from his garden and his mum's voice, i think it was for Mother's day.
Next is a video where someone has taken the original sound away from a well known clip and replaced it with sound that in no way fits with the video. It shows that you can change the atmosphere of a clip just by editing the sound.
