Project 1: 3 Easy Pieces -- Inspiration

The Buba advert is what this project is based on so i looked at them for inspiration. I found them to figurative and representative of humans and did not want this in my animation.

This simple animation of a shape is more inspiring. Though the creatures are against the brief, i think that having a single shape as the focus of the animation would be good and even having it transform would be a good part aswell.

When i first recieved the brief Weeble and Bob came to mind imediatly. Though the are representative of people i think the way they move is good examples of the principles of motion.

Maxim Zhestkov’s works are great examples of using secondary action to enhance simple actions, all while using simple shapes. His work is really what this brief is about, its shows no figurative shapes but still represents certain movements, weight and object interaction.
