Project 3: YCN -- Lock / Latch on collectors box - SEGA

When producing my box i couldn't figure out how to make a latch to hold the box closed. My original design was a hook and eye type lock but i couldn't figure out to make it look inkeeping with the design. While searching for logos to put on the sides / decorating the box i came across a logo which inspired my final lock design.

Removing Sonic from the middle and the banner / writing create a perfect circle as the base of the latch.

This being the bottom of the latch then putting sonic on the top and siding him through the circle creates the latch.
